Privacy & children

This page is for the person at a club who answers for children’s data. It says what is held, how it is kept, and what a family can ask. The privacy notice and the club agreement are the authority; this page repeats them and adds nothing.

What we hold about a child

The whole of it, for every child on every squad. There is no field for anything else.

Held
A first name and up to three letters of the surname.
Never held
No date of birth, no photograph, no contact details, no free text about an individual, no video. Age comes from the squad’s age band.

How it is kept

  • Children have no logins.
  • Each club’s data is kept apart from every other club’s by the database itself, not by a rule in the software.
  • A child’s ratings are deleted twelve months after the child stops playing.
  • The season record kept for year-on-year comparison holds no child and no identifier.
  • No video of children is ever stored, hosted or embedded.
  • The platform sets no tracking cookies. This website sets no cookies at all.

What a family can ask

Four things a family can ask for.

  1. To see everything held about their child.
  2. To have the name corrected.
  3. To have the ratings paused while the child carries on playing.
  4. To have the record deleted.

The two documents

Everything on this page comes from these two documents, and where the words differ, the documents win.

See it for yourself

The test club shows exactly what a register looks like and what a coach can and cannot enter. Invented children only; never type a real child’s name there.
